OUR HISTORY
Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Teller and El Paso Counties, Colorado, lies the Northeast Teller County Fire Protection District (NETCO FPD).
Since 1896, the Northeast Teller County Fire Protection District has proudly served communities across both Teller and El Paso Counties, ensuring the safety of residents and visitors in an awe-inspiring 87-square-mile territory.

Today, NETCFPD proudly serves a diverse community, encompassing areas like Paint Pony, Westwood Lakes, Broken Wagon Estates, Majestic Park, Red Rocks, Rosewood Hills, Woodland West, Ridgewood, Tranquil Acres, Quinlan Gulch, Holiday Hills, Ranch Estates, Rampart Ranches, Aspen Hills, Catamount, Crystola, Forest Ridge, Manitou Park Lake, Northwoods, Pike National Forest, Woodland Park, and many more. We stand ready 24/7 to respond to any emergency, be it a fire, medical call, or rescue scenario.
Our dedication extends beyond immediate response, as we actively engage in proactive community education and outreach programs to promote fire prevention and safety.

The NE Teller County Fire Protection District provides a complete range of emergency services to the residents and visitors of the Woodland Park area and beyond.
We encompass the City of Woodland Park, CO and the surrounding unincorporated county from the Teller County/El Paso County line on the East to Johnston’s Hill (Approximately Hwy 24 MM 280) on the west. Our jurisdiction goes north to the Teller County/Douglas County line and south to the south side of the Catamount Reservoirs. We are almost completely surrounded by the Pike National Forest.
